The questions the telephone gets.

Getting here?

Cochin airport is four hours by road, or the morning train to Aluva and we collect you there; Madurai is four and a half, over the Bodi ghat. The car is an Innova (₹6,500 from Kochi, ₹7,200 from Madurai, on the bill). The last forty minutes are the reason people arrive quiet.

When can we arrive and leave?

Rooms from 2pm, out by 11am. Come earlier and we hold the bags and pour the tea; the estate does not mind being walked before your room is ready.

Can we bring the children?

Over eight, yes. Under that, the pools, the drop past the lawn and the factory line make us the wrong house, and we would rather say it here than at the gate.

What does holding a room commit us to?

Nothing. No card, no deposit. Cancel freely until seven days before you arrive; inside seven days we collect the first night by UPI link when we call to confirm. We confirm every hold by phone within the hour, eight to eight.

How do we pay?

At the desk, when you leave. Cards and UPI both work up here, most days. The transfer cars (₹6,500 from Kochi, ₹7,200 from Madurai) go on the same bill.

Is the monsoon a mistake?

It is the best of us. Bring one more layer than you think and leave the itinerary at home. If you want clear ridges instead, October to March is your season, and it books out first.

Dinner?

At eight, one long table, the menu written the morning it is cooked. Vegetarian and Jain told a day ahead. Breakfast until half past ten.

The practical things?

Government ID for every adult at check-in, as everywhere in India. Wi-Fi reaches every room and most of the lawn; the generator picks up before your kettle notices. The transfer car is an Innova and takes four large bags.

Dogs?

No, and it is not about the carpets. There are leopards on the ridge, and we would rather your dog never learned that.
